2. Veterinary, Health and Advice Disclaimer
2.1 Advice and Information
All content provided by us, whether on the Site, blog, email, social media, or in product descriptions, is for general informational purposes only. It is not, and must not be considered, a substitute for professional veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Even if advice is provided by a qualified veterinarian in connection with Juno Pets, it is not a substitute for a physical consultation with your pet's primary veterinarian, who has a complete history of your pet. Never disregard professional veterinary advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read or heard from our Services.
2.2 Customer Responsibility and Duty of Care
You are fully responsible for your pet's health and well-being. You agree to the following:
-
Consult Your Vet: You must consult your veterinarian before giving your pet any new supplement, including ours. This is especially important if your pet has a pre-existing medical condition, is on medication, is pregnant, or is lactating.
-
Suitability and Allergies: It is your responsibility to review the full ingredient list of our products to ensure they are suitable for your pet and to avoid any known allergies.
-
Monitoring: You are responsible for monitoring your pet for any changes in health or behaviour.
-
Individual Variability: We do not guarantee suitability for any individual animal. Variations in individual tolerance or response are normal.
2.3 Our Products
-
Not a Treatment: Our products are nutritional supplements. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.
-
No Medical Claims: Our products are not licensed veterinary medicines. No claim is made or implied that they treat or prevent disease.
-
Manufacturing Standards: Our products are manufactured in the UK to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
2.4 Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability
You understand and accept that any supplement carries a risk of an unknown reaction. By purchasing and using our products, you knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks associated with their use.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree that we are not liable for any adverse reactions or lack of results from the use or misuse of our products. You accept full responsibility for all decisions and actions taken regarding your pet's health.
2.5 Product Safety, Storage and Handling
As part of your duty of care, you agree to the following:
-
Not for Human Consumption: Our products are for animal (canine) use only.
-
Keep Out of Reach: Keep all products, sealed or open, out of the reach of children and animals to prevent accidental ingestion or overdose.
-
Storage: Store the product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
-
Sealing: Ensure the pouch is sealed after each use to prevent moisture ingress, clumping, contamination, or degradation.
-
Dosing: Measure dosage accurately. Do not estimate or exceed the recommended dose.
-
Inspection: Inspect the product upon receipt. Do not use if the pouch seal is broken or the product appears damaged.
We are not liable for any product that has been improperly stored, handled, or administered, or for any accidental ingestion by humans, children, or other animals.
2.6 Mandatory Duty to Follow Instructions
Our products are provided with clear dosage and usage instructions (the "Instructions"), which may include a gradual introduction period.
You agree to:
-
Follow all Instructions on the packaging.
-
Not exceed the recommended daily dose.
-
Properly introduce the supplement as advised.
Failure to follow Instructions will be treated as customer negligence, and we will not be liable for any resulting claim, injury, or damage.
2.7 Adverse Event Reporting and Recall Procedure
If your pet experiences an adverse reaction that you believe is linked to our product, you must report this to us by email at hello@junopets.com as soon as reasonably practicable (ideally within 48 hours).
Include:
-
Your order number;
-
The product name;
-
The batch number and best before date from the packaging;
-
A clear description of symptoms and when they occurred.
If a product recall is required, we will contact affected customers using the email address associated with their purchase.
Failure to report within a reasonable timeframe may affect our ability to investigate or assess your claim.
2.8 Acknowledgement of Understanding
By completing your purchase and agreeing to these Terms, you confirm that you have read and fully understood this Section 2 and explicitly accept all disclaimers, warnings, and responsibilities stated herein.
3. Placing an Order and Contract Formation
Our Site and product listings are an invitation to treat, not a legal offer to sell.
-
Your Offer: When you place an order, you are making a legal offer to purchase the goods.
-
Acknowledgement: You will receive an automated email acknowledging your order. This is not acceptance.
-
Acceptance: We legally accept your offer when we send you a dispatch confirmation email.
We reserve the right to reject your offer (and cancel your order) before dispatch if, for example, the product is out of stock, there is a pricing or description error, or payment authorisation fails.
As required by the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the products, in accordance with our Refund and Return Policy.
4. User Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and purchase products.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account details and must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
We may suspend or terminate accounts if these Terms are breached or misuse is suspected.
5. Pricing and Payment
All prices are shown in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and include applicable taxes.
We reserve the right to change prices at any time. The price you pay is the one displayed at checkout when you complete your order.
Payment must be made in full at the time of order using one of our accepted payment providers.
6. Subscription Service
Our subscription service provides regular product deliveries.
-
Billing: You authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. The first charge occurs at purchase, with subsequent charges every two months.
-
Cancellation: You may cancel at any time. To avoid being charged for the next cycle, cancel at least seven days before your next billing date.
-
How to Cancel: Manage your subscription via your online account or by emailing hello@junopets.com.
7. Delivery Policy
We aim to dispatch all orders within 3 to 5 working days. This is an estimate, not a guarantee.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, we are responsible for the goods until they are in your physical possession.
If your order is lost, notify us within 14 days of receiving your dispatch confirmation. We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our control.
8. Refunds and Returns
Our full Refund and Return Policy is available on our Site. By agreeing to these Terms, you also agree to that Policy.
9. User-Generated Content
You may be able to post content such as product reviews ("User Content").
By posting User Content, you grant Juno Pets Ltd a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, and display such content for marketing and promotional purposes.
We may display reviews using your first name and location only. By submitting User Content, you confirm that it is truthful and based on genuine experience.
We reserve the right to monitor, edit, or remove content that we deem unlawful, offensive, or misleading.
10. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for:
-
Death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
-
Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
-
Breach of your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015;
-
Defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987.
We only supply products for domestic and private use for your pet. We are not liable for business-related losses.
We will not be liable for any loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed.
Subject to the above, our total liability in connection with your order shall not exceed the total price of the products purchased.
All products and services are provided "as is" without any further warranties, express or implied.
11. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, and only where you are not acting as a consumer, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless (including our directors, employees, and agents) from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
(a) your breach of these Terms;
(b) your misuse of the Site or products;
(c) your violation of any law or third-party rights; or
(d) your failure to follow product Instructions or your veterinarian’s advice.
12. Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)
We encourage, but do not require, informal resolution before bringing any claim.
Notice of Dispute: You should first send a written Notice of Dispute to hello@junopets.com, describing your claim and the relief you seek.
Good Faith Negotiation: Upon our receipt, both parties will attempt to resolve the matter in good faith within thirty days.
If unresolved, you may pursue legal action as outlined in Section 13.
13. General
Governing Law: These Terms and any dispute arising out of them shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Jurisdiction: The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute.
Force Majeure: We are not liable for failure to perform obligations caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including strikes, fires, floods, or pandemics.
Changes to Terms: We may update these Terms at any time. The date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly.
Severability: If any part of these Terms is found unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue in full force.
Promotions: Any offers or discounts are subject to their own terms and may be withdrawn without notice.
